Situated on a 75 hectare estate, 45 minutes south of Sandton, Bass Lake Adventures is an adventure resort catering for Individuals, Team Building, Corporate Days and Family orientated activities.

Bass Lake consists of a 10-hectare body of spring-fed water. Considered by the top certifying agencies (PADI, NAUI, SSI, CMAS, IANTD) to be the best Scuba Training venue in South Africa. Depths vary from a walk in slope to 23m at the deepest point.

We have a great variety of "smalls " for those emergencies and some great deals on basics!!! We stock booties, masks, snorkels, fins and a variety of consumables and other items. Come check them out, credit cards accepted.

Virtually anything can be hired in, budget dependant.  Please contact us to arrange a specially designed package according to your requirements.

Conferencing:
We have an intimate bush conference facility, comfortably seating 21 people, in a T- formation, with wide tables (where all delegates can see each other) and 32 people, in a Theatre formation (without tables). This facility is situated in a tranquil bush environment.
We also have a hall facility that can seat up to 100 people in classroom style with tables and 210 in a Theatre formation (without tables).

White boards, a TV, video, overhead projector and power cables for computers can be supplied, as well as a proxima.

*Forget preconceived ideas about tents, we offer lots of attention to detail, in special touches, to make your stay a happy one! *Our camp is ideal for individuals, romantic break-aways, groups of friends or companies doing conferencing and / or team building and for bachelor parties.

* The setting provides the ideal break away from the city and is in a secure environment. environment. You will realy feel like you are in the African bush.

*Due to the unpredictable overnight cold snaps in Henley on Klip , we close our Tented Camp from 1 June to 31 August to guarantee your comfort.

* Lunches and early dinners are served at the waterfront Geckos Coffee Shop or you may visit one of the restaurants in the area.

*Please pre-arrange dinner at Geckos, if required.

* Picnic lunches can be packed for your outings of the day. You may also braai at the waterfront garden area.

*There are no self catering facilities at our Makhulu Maghodi Lodge Camp.

*On the day of departure residents may continue to use the facilities at Bass Lake for the remainder.

Please note the following:

Adventure Activities can be incorporated into your stay. Preferential conferences can be catered for and team building activities can be designed to add fun to your conferences. Activities include raft building and raft obstacle courses, abseiling, paint balling, archery, 4 x 4 driving, fun games, survivor obstacles, experience scuba diving among a host of other activities.

Catch & Release Bass Fishing can be arranged mid week, on site, or at the Vaal River on week-ends and game drives can be arranged at a nearby game park. Access to the resort is included in the tariff. We now also offer a recreation club with a swimming pool, squash court and tennis court. A fully licensed bar with pool & snooker tables will open shortly.

Children, 12+ years, accompanying parents, must be booked into a separate bow tent, (See Backpackers Units), if not in a Family Unit. Bow tents, for children accompanying parents, may be placed on the parents' lodge site which has adequate space around its site, if the parents would prefer this.

Bass Lake is CLOSED on Mondays & Tuesdays, except on Public Holidays (except over Xmas & New Year, when further updates will be given)
